SO?
Göktaş received his bachelor's and master's degree in architecture from the İstanbul Technical University, School of Architecture in 2005 and 2009 respectively. In 2007, together with Sevince Bayrak, he co-founded SO? Architecture and Ideas, where the duo still continue their professional work. Some of their built designs were nominated for Mies van der Rohe and Aga Khan Awards. In 2013, for their project titled the Sky Spotting Stop, the duo was selected as the 1st Winner of the Young Architects Program organized in collaboration between MoMA/PS1 and İstanbul Modern. Their projects were built and installed in the Royal Academy of Arts (London, 2015), MAXXI (Rome, 2015) and İstanbul. Their work, titled the Lost Barrier, was selected for the Permanent Architectural Collection of MAXXI. The duo has participated and presented in academic and professional events as guest panelists in a number of cities such as London, Rome, Florence, Genova, Bordeaux, New York City and Ljubljana. Göktaş, today besides working as an associate lecturer at the MEF University, also is the director of the graduate program Alternative Architecture Practices at the same institution.
