Oktay Nayman


Nayman Architecture

Nayman graduated from İstanbul Technical University, School of Architecture in 1960. After working in Germany for a while, in 1962, Nayman joined the Danish architect Jorn Utzon’s office. During his experience with Jorn Utzon, he worked as architectural designer in Utzon’s renowned projects such as Sydney Opera House, Kuwait National Assembly and Bagsværd Church. After working on the new British Museum Library Project as part of the Colin St. John Wilson & Partners’ team, in London, between 1969 and ‘73, Nayman co-founded the Nayman Gavin Associates. Between 1977 and ‘80, he worked as a design course lecturer at both New York State University and Iowa State University. In 1980, he co-founded the office named Zeybekoglu Nayman in Boston. Since 1991, he has been pursuing his professional work in İstanbul.
