Murat Sümen

Born in 1948, in İstanbul, Sümen studied at the Austrian High School in İstanbul. He then graduated from the State Academy of Fine Arts, School of Architecture. After receiving his bachelor's degree, Sümen worked for design offices in Germany. Upon his return back to İstanbul, he worked several years as a construction site supervisor. After 1985, he pursued his professional work as a freelancer. During his career, Sümen designed buildings in a wide variety of typologies such as social and private housing projects, touristic facilities, offices and factory buildings.Today, he works as a consultant to several establishments.
