Altınışık received her bachelor's degree from İstanbul Technical University as the valedictorian. She then completed her graduate studies on Architecture and Urban Design at Architectural Association Design Research Laboratory in London. Between 2006 and ‘13, Altınışık gained experience on global platforms while working for the Zaha Hadid Architects, in London. Architect, designer, academician and the founder of MAA, Melike Altınışık continues her work in İstanbul and Seoul offices of Melike Altınışık Architects. Her works include İstanbul TV & Radio Tower built in İstanbul, which has a 369m (1210 ft) high futuristic design, and the world’s first pioneer Robot & AI Museum in Seoul, South Korea. For her designs, Altınışık received numerous prestigious awards such as Europe 40 Under 40 Award, FEIDAD (Far Eastern International Digital Architecture Design Award) Design Award and the Swiss Art Award.
