Hasan Şener


HAT Architecture

Şener graduated from İstanbul Technical University, School of Architecture in 1968, where he later also worked as a faculty member. Between 1970 and ‘80, for two years, Şener pursued both academic and professional work in Paris. Since 2000, he has been continuing his work as the founding partner of HAT Architecture Consultancy LLC. Şener holds a great number of both national and international awards in architecture and urban design. In 2009, he received the MimED (ArchED) Outstanding Achievement Award. In 2010, he was awarded with the International Architecture Awards for his project Bursa Atatürk Cultural Center & Merinos Park. Furthermore, in 2014, he won the Chamber of Architects National Architecture Award in the Building Category for his campus building design in İstanbul Technical University. Şener also has a number of articles on culture, education, sports, housing, management and recreation, published in architectural magazines and books.
