Emir Uras

Emir Uras was born in Istanbul in 1969. After completing his secondary and high school education in Millfield, England, he studied architecture at the Architectural Association (AA) London and Kingston Polytechnic Surrey. He completed his master's degree at the Southern California Institute of Architecture in Los Angeles (SCI-Arc). He founded URAStudio in Los Angeles in 1995. After working on various projects in the USA, he moved his office to Istanbul in 1998. In 2003, he founded UrasxDilekci Architecture with Durmuş Dilekci. Since 2013, he has been working as an architect, designer and artist within URAStudio, which he owns, both in Istanbul and in his offices in Akyaka.
