Durmuş Dilekci

Dilekci graduated from Ankara Gazi University, School of Architecture in 1992 as the valedictorian. He then completed his graduate studies at İstanbul Technical University, School of Architecture in 1996. In 1994, Dilekci started working with Gökhan Avcıoğlu. Together with Avcıoğlu, he founded GAD Architecture in 1999 and pursued his works there until 2003. In 2003, together with Emir Uras, Dilekci founded Uras x Dilekci Architecture. Since 2014, Dilekci continues his work in Dilekci Architecture and aims to create an awareness via looking at urban and architectural matters through a different perspective. Having served as a member of the Executive Board of İstanbulSMD since 2017, Dilekci has taken the role of the Chairman for the 10th term Executive Board in 2021.
