Burak Ünder

Ünder was born in 1979 in İstanbul. Upon graduating from Kabataş Boys’ High School, he studied architecture at Mimar Sinan Fine Art University, School of Architecture. Ünder started his career in HAS Architecture in 2000. During his time in the firm, he worked in project design, project management and studio management, and further led teams of many large-scale projects. In 2007, Ünder joined Avcı Architects, taking a role in its founding. As the partner and the director of Avcı Architects, he realized numerous national and global projects. Meanwhile, collaborating with world’s prominent firms, he had the opportunity to make use of his international experiences in his projects in Turkey, and received various awards. He taught studio design courses as a guest lecturer at the Bilgi University, School of Architecture. While pursuing his works in Ünder Architecture which he founded in 2014, he also takes roles in juries as a guest jury member and participates in conferences.
