Burak Pekoğlu

Born in 1984 in Eskişehir, he studied high school at the Robert College. He then completed his undergraduate studies at University at Buffalo SUNY (State University of New York), and his graduate studies at the Harvard Graduate School of Design, in 2008 and 2011 respectively. He worked as an architectural designer for offices such as Owings & Merrill (SOM) in New York, Schmidt Hammer Lassen (SHL) in Aarhus, Denmark and Pelli Clarke Pelli Architects (PCPA) in New Haven. In 2012, he founded BINAA (Building Innovation Arts Architecture), an architecture and research studio. Since its founding, BINAA has been realizing extraordinary and innovative projects. Pekoğlu was awarded with the Europe 40 Under 40 Award in 2021 and Architizer A+Awards in 2017 for his project S2OSB.
