Abdurahman Çekim

Çekim was born in 1978 in Iğdır. During his undergraduate years, in 2001, he started working for Emre Arolat Architecture. In 2003, he graduated from Yıldız Technical University’s School of Architecture. Until 2008, he worked for numerous offices, on design and construction projects in varying scales. In 2009, together with Sevilay Uğur Çekim, he founded Baraka. Besides the ones he received from various nation-wide competitions, he was also awarded with Arkitera Young Architect Award in 2014 and Europe 40 Under 40 Award in 2016. Abdurrahman Çekim, today, teaches design courses as a guest lecturer at the Yıldız Technical University.
