İM Architecture
Born in Istanbul, A. Feyhan İnkaya Takaoğlu received her bachelor's degree in architecture from the State Academy of Fine Arts, School of Architecture, in 1981. She then received her graduate degree from Yıldız Technical University, School of Architecture’s Restoration Chair, in 1985. She also took PhD courses from İstanbul Technical University’s Restoration Chair and İstanbul University Faculty of Literature’s Art History Department, where she then passed her dissertation exams. During her student years, she worked for Dr. Sinan Genim, M.Arch Hüsrev Taylâ and Prof. Dr. Halûk Sezgin’s offices focusing on both restoration and construction. Afterwards, she pursued her professional work in İM Architecture Restoration, which she founded together with her business partner. She completed numerous restoration and restitution projects including 1st Category buildings such as mosques, palaces and madrasas and 2nd Category projects like buildings made out of timber and masonry.She now provides services such as design, construction, supervision and consultancy with restoration on focus.
