Hamdi Şensoy

Şensoy graduated from İstanbul State Academy of Fine Arts with a master's degree in architecture in 1952. In 1955, Şensoy was appointed as an assistant to Prof. Sedad H. Eldem in Chair of Building Construction Methods & Technologies of the same institution. In 1959, he started teaching BCMT and studio design courses. Receiving his professorship in 1970, besides his academic works, during his time in the academy, he also served as the head of several chairs and the Dean of School of Architecture, Mimar Sinan University. He was also a founding partner of the Foundation for Architecture. Şensoy passed away on April 18th, 2018.
